My father Robert John Hetherington returned to regular High School in the early 1970's and graduated from NWSS in 1972. He may have been one of the oldest graduates? He was sent to the Principal's office once for smoking his pipe. He said that NWSS was worse than the army because ay least in the army they give you enough time for a smoke between classes. 2 of my brothers, Gary and Brian, were Massey Pearson graduates, , my sister in law Iris, worked in administration and I graduated in from NWSS in 1969. We lived on Sixth Street and I remember the blenchers being built and playing in a muddy pond as the lower field as it was being drained. The attached photos are of my father and a pin he received.
