New West Library – Climate Action Week
It's the first week in November and it's Climate Action Week at the New Westminster Public Library.
The library has a full schedule of programs, some of which dove-tail with ongoing activities, such as Story Time for pre-schoolers and the library's Book Club. Some events are specially developed for this special week...including a couple of workshops, a movie and more.
The biggest event is a day-long program called Regeneration. Regeneration is a world-wide program that is based on Paul Hawken's well-known book: “Drawdown: The Most Comprehensive Plan Ever Proposed to Reverse Global Warming”.
Local environmentalists will be at the library to contextualize the information for New Westminster and to empower action.
NewWest.tv's journalist Susan Millar speaks to Chief Librarian, Carolyn Casenyas to find out more about this special week that is sponsored by the BC Library Association.
